Allows a named victim of sexual assault or victim’s designee to receive unredacted criminal records. By July 1, 2024, in cases where a child was a victim of or witness to a criminal offense, the bill allows the Office of the State Public Defender, the Office of the Alternate Defense Counsel, the Office of Respondent Parents’ Counsel, the Office of the Child’s Representative, municipal attorneys, and county attorneys to receive the unredacted criminal records. The bill also clarifies that changes to redactions in child victim and witness records passed in Senate Bill 23-075 apply to offenses committed on or after January 1, 2024.
